Mengaktifkan battery monitor di Slackware 12

Saya lagi menggunakan Slackware 12 di notebook Compaq Evo N620c.

Berhubung lagi males download GNOME, ya udah pake KDE dulu :p .

Salah satu fitur berguna buat laptop adalah battery monitor. Jadi, saya jalankan KDE battery monitor. Eh tau2 di dialog boxnya ada tulisan :

Your computer seems to have a partial ACPI installation. ACPI was probably enabled, but some of the sub-options were not – you need to enable at least ‘AC Adaptor’ and ‘Control Method Battery’ and then rebuild your kernel.

Errr … ga udah gw coba compile kernel. Saya coba pake kernel terbaru (2.6.22.9). Entah kenapa, setiap kali compile maka notebook bakal hang.

Ya udah, coba Google lagi. Hehe tau2 ada solusi gampang disini.

Prosedurnya sederhana kok :

1. sudo moprobe battery

2. sudo vim /etc/rc.d/rc.local

Tambahkan 2 baris berikut :

/sbin/modprobe ac

/sbin/modprobe battery

3. Reboot.

Pas login lagi, eh icon battery monitor udah muncul di bawah.

Senangnya …

Berarti 1 urusan udah beres. Sekarang waktunya bermain-main dengan madwifi …. >.<
