Setidaknya ada 2 hal yg membuat gw respect terhadap Linus Torvalds:

1. Sukses besar mengembangkan Linux, suatu kernel yg awalnya adalah hobby project, menjadi kernel yg powerful. Rasanya hampir setiap arsitektur hardware yg ada di dunia ini sudah disupport oleh Linux. Ini SERIUS.
2. Sekarang yang TIDAK SERIUS . Gw suka caranya bashing (ngebacot). Antara lain:
   • Linus against Pascal
     

     The Pascal language is a prime example of the latter problem. Because it
     doesn’t have a “break” statement, loops in (traditional) Pascal end up
     often looking like total shit, because you have to add totally arbitrary
     logic to say “I’m done now”.

   • Linus against C++
     

     C++ is a horrible language. It’s made more horrible by the fact that a lot
     of substandard programmers use it, to the point where it’s much much
     easier to generate total and utter crap with it. Quite frankly, even if
     the choice of C were to do *nothing* but keep the C++ programmers out,
     that in itself would be a huge reason to use C.
