FET is open source free software for automatically scheduling the timetable of a school, high-school or university. It uses a fast and efficient timetabling algorithm. It is licensed under GNU/GPL.

Fasilitas yang tersedia cukup banyak, antara lain (gw males translet ) :

• Fully automatic generation algorithm, allowing also semi-automatic or manual allocation.
• Platform independent implementation, allowing running on GNU/Linux, Windows, Mac and any system that Qt supports.
• Powerful flexible modular xml format for the input file, allowing editing with an xml editor or by hand (besides FET).
• Possibility to view the currently generated timetable without stopping the ongoing simulation (as html on hard disk).
• The resulted timetables are exported into xml and html formats.
• Very flexible students (pupils) structure, organized into sets: years, groups and subgroups. FET allows overlapping years and groups and non-overlapping subgroups. You can even define individual students (as separate sets).
• Each constraint has a weight percentage, from 0.0% to 100.0% (some special constraints can have only 100% weight percentage possible).

Slackware 12.2 is out!

Well folks, it’s that time to announce a new stable Slackware release again.  So, without further ado, announcing Slackware version 12.2!  Since we’ve moved to supporting the 2.6 kernel series exclusively (and fine-tuned the system to get the most out of it), we feel that Slackware 12.2 has many improvements over our last release (Slackware 12.1) and isa must-have upgrade for any Slackware user.

Some small C compilers I’d like to play with

After googling “small C compiler”, I found these interesting C compilers. Small, but useful and interesting enough to play with :

• Tiny C Compiler
• CC386
• DeSmet C
• BDS C
• PCC
• LCC

I shall do some tinkering with their source code, and probably after that I will have my own C compiler. Cool huh ? LoL

BTW, why don’t I mention GCC or Open Watcom ? Well, ten of megs compressed source code is definitely not a small one, plus the learning curve would be veeery steep for my brain.

OK, enough procrastinating. Must face the the real thing : implement function/procedure without arguments for MINUI system. And if I can implement arguments or recursion, sure I can say goodbye to “UAS” …
